CHARRISH11 PETITE & CURVY BOUTIQUE REVIEW

CHARRISH11 PETITE & CURVY BOUTIQUE REVIEW

I’m so excited to be sharing this post with you all today because it is about time that we had more brands offering trendy petite clothes! Tasha Harris is the founder of Charrish11, an online boutique dedicated to petite and curvy women. What inspired her to start the brand was her own struggle to find trendy and cute clothing that fit her personal style and petite pear shape. Her biggest shopping pain point of all — jeans! I am right there with her, it’s something that I’m constantly on the hunt for because it can be tricky to find ones that don’t require alterations and ones that are curve friendly. Like me she has had the same frustration of trying on jeans only to find out that there is a massive waist gap in the back. Tasha is an expert of pear-friendly and petite fashion so when you shop at her boutique you can trust the pieces will fit your pear shape :)

Tasha’s personal style is also reflected in the pieces she carries. She describes her style as a mix of trendy, classy and playful. While she loves wearing fun colors, she’s also a fan of classic wardrobe staples like the LBD or a black jumpsuit. When it comes to fashion inspiration she looks to Carrie Bradshaw and style blogger Luna (Swaggaismything) to get her creative juices flowing. Most importantly though, she celebrates and embraces her pear shape and petite stature.

Starting her own boutique is about more than selling clothes, it’s about serving women who are often overlooked by the fashion industry. Her brand’s slogan is “Charrish Your Curves” because she wants women to realize they are beautiful no matter what their body type. You might be wondering why is cherish spelled differently than you expected? When Tasha was coming up with her business name, the word cherish came to mind as it means to hold dear, feel or show affection or to nurture. However, she wanted to put a unique twist on it so the name would stand out and represent her as a business owner. Then she had an ah-ha moment — what if she combined her last name Harris with the word cherish. She was getting closer to her final brand name. The number 11 at the end of her brand name has multiple meanings. Firstly, the number represents both the birth month of her husband and herself. Secondly, it’s a highly spiritual number that symbolizes high energy, creative energy and enthusiasm. Finally, it is Tasha’s angel number and signifies it is her mission to help others.

While Tasha is passionate about lifting up others, starting her own brand has required that she be her own cheerleader and step outside her comfort zone. She considers herself to be a social person, but even she felt intimidated to get in front of the camera at first for photo shoots (she’s the model on her website!) and Instagram/Facebook lives. Over time, she’s become more comfortable and confident being the model and spokesperson for her brand. I related to her feelings so much because that is how I felt when I started this blog. Soon though you realize though that incredible experience of connecting with and helping others outweighs any personal discomfort that arises.

I can’t wait to watch her business grow because I know that she is at the beginning of an incredible journey. Her future goal for the brand is to design and sell her own clothing line as well as offer accessories. Supporting her brand now will allow her to achieve this future goal!

So now without further ado, I’ll share the amazing pieces that I tried out from her boutique’s debut collection!

Inseam = 27’’

Bicep = 9.5’’

Charrish 11 High Waist Skinny Jeans with Distressed Rips - Size 7/Waist 27

What I loved…

  • Fit well in hip area - As a curvy woman one of the most frequent fit issues I encounter with jeans is drag lines in the crotch area. They are unflattering and a sign that the jeans don’t fit properly. This high waisted pair fit me so well in the hip area and are perfectly smooth!

  • No waist gapping - I can wear these jeans without a belt and they stay up, which is my books is the ultimate dream!

  • Petite friendly length - These were the ideal inseam length for my 5’ 2’’ self! (Inseam measurement = 27’’)

What could have been better…

  • Drag lines on back thigh - While the thigh area was slightly tight on the backside, it wasn’t a deal breaker by any means. The fit of these jeans is very comparable to my Levi’s 721 Jeans which are one of my favorite pairs that I own.

Denim Ratings:

Length: 5

Fit: 5

Waist Gap: 5

Price: $$

Garment measurements:

Waist = 27.25”

Hip = 34”

Front rise = 10.25”

Back rise = 14.375”

Thigh = 19.5”

Calf = 11.5”

Inseam = 27”

Verdict: Buy! Use promo code KRISTIN20 for 20% off your purchase! (I own these and purchased them with a press discount.)

Sizing Note: This style runs big. Normally, I wear a size Waist 28 in jeans, but I ordered one size down. I’d recommend ordering your normal size and one size down to see both options.

Charrish11 Black Belted Jumpsuit - Size Medium

What I loved…

  • Tie belted waistband - I love this detail as a pear-shaped woman because it helps to emphasize the smallness of my waist relative to my hips. Sometimes you gotta just play up your curves! One styling idea I have is replacing the tie belt with a statement belt to change up your look.

  • Petite-friendly length - This jumpsuit is an amazing length for petites! You can wear it with both heels and flats!

  • Pockets - YASSSS It has pockets!!

  • Versatile - In my opinion, jumpsuits are the little black dress of this day and age. It’s a great staple item to have in your wardrobe!

Garment measurements:

Bust = 34.5”

Waist = 29.5”

Hip = 39.75”

Front rise = 11.652”

Thigh = 24.5”

Calf = 15.5”

Inseam = 25.125”

Verdict: Buy! Use promo code KRISTIN20 for 20% off your purchase! (I own this jumpsuit and purchased it with a press discount.)
